Sydney's Baptism was on Halloween!

Sydney was baptized on Halloween. She'll always be able to remember that date. Lots of relatives came to help her celebrate--all four grandparents, Uncle Ken and Rachel, Robin and Ann Marie, and all the Dodges. Plus her Uncle Mark's family and a cousin, Tyler and his family.

Aunt Sheryl gave a wonderful talk about the Holy Ghost. Sydney's Mom sang a beautiful arrangement of "I Feel My Savior's Love."

Sydney was baptized by her dad. The baptism was witnessed by her two grandpas. She was also confirmed by her dad. It was touching to hear a worthy father confirm his beautiful daughter. He blessed her that she would feel the Savior's love and that she would be close to her mother to benefit from her faith and wisdom.

October Day

Emily has been happy ever since she knew Jason was coming for a visit this weekend! And once he got here she was glowing. They went to see Where the Wild Things Are. Then after going out to dinner with Jason's dad, they carved a pumpkin using a pattern on the internet.

The finished product:

Still the most beautiful tree in town is across the road from us!

Remember the Reunion at Camp Alpine?

On this cold and rainy day, I've been thinking about the reunion when it was nice and sunny and we were having such a good time! I decided to post some of my favorite pictures from it so you'll remember it too. And look forward to the next one in August (19th to 21st) in Utah!

By the way, to my mind Carl is a rather creative photographer.

Trip to Utah

We went to Utah for a week to see Carl and Velvet's family and for the missionary reunion. On Sunday Gail came up for dinner and it was sure good to see her.

We went up to Kaysville to see Lloyd and Nancy. They're looking good. Sadly, Travis has gotten a divorce and moved back in with them.

I went with Carl to work for two days. It was an adventure to commute. One day it was raining really hard. I went to the family history center and looked at many films and found a few names and dates.

Eldon had his 69th birthday while we were there. We went swimming at the pool. He chose his menu and shopped for it--lasagna and carrot cake.
We went to the Wheeler Farm on a beautiful sunny day and looked at the animals and rode the wagon and went through a maze and chose pumpkins.
