Last night Ken phoned his Dad to ask him to come to the 3rd Ward's priesthood meeting to ordain him a High Priest. Tom Sherry of the stake presidency interviewed him and challenged him to attend the temple within the month--and that it would bless his family. So he's going to do that! We are thrilled and amazed at the progress he's made. He has stepped up to be a leader in his family and his ward.

Neato. I'm with you, Ken. Just committed to going to the temple more often. At our Sat. stake meeting the pres. read a 2003 letter from the first presidency, from his PalmPilot (came up as the talks progressed, didn't plan it), wherein it was asked of us that we give up a little of our leisure to more often attend the temple. Not all, just a little. For me, it is pretty easy to swing by the Provo temple on my way home from work (and give up a little unstructured time). ((Which I'll have more of soon!))
Boy, if that doesn't make you feel old!
When asked to introduce myself to the HP group, I told them that after some reflection, I realized that being a grandparent, having grey hair in my beard, and having a back injury that prevents me from helping in EQ moves all qualified me. I also mentioned that I had a medical excuse for sleeping through meetings!
Who is that cute kid?
I think it was a good challenge for dad. I hope we run into him there. Anyhow, we have to go up soon... having only 5 pair of undies really sucks!
