We spent a few days in Bend. The teens (Jessica, Jason, and their cousin Meryl) were preparing for the Prom. We made a vest for Jason to wear. He'll have a red shirt and a black bow tie and his date, Savannah will wear red.
Jessica bought her own dress. She's going with a friend named Justin who seems very nice. He's a senior and wants to study mechanical engineering. We also made corsages and boutonnieres.
Dad worked in the yard. I cleaned the fridge and stove. Curtis did lots of cleaning because he was earning money for another singing fish for his astonishing collection!

Good one!! Well, good more than one!! Love the dress and the beauty in it, the vest and the handsome gent wearing it, the thought of you assembling boutonnieres, AND the Curtis singing fish collection!! Do they all sing the same song? I gave one as a gift back in the day which sang, "Be Happy, Don't Worry." It touched a cord when I saw it because an early introduction was when Brenda and Sheryl (and Janeil?) sang it to me one summer. It was my turn to do the reunion and I'd gotten considerable flack about it and felt rather sensitive. They stopped in and had an idea or two to incorporate, any my thought of trying to achieve that caused me to burst into tears! I'm sure they were shocked, as I couldn't explain, but they were sweet and sang the song, thinking my stress was soothe-able. It's a fond memory, even though it didn't exactly work! :)
Vavavoom! That is a gorgeous girl in a gorgeous dress! And Jason looks so dapper. How fun. Thanks for posting these pics, mom.
Jason, Jessica, and Curtis,
Looking good!
