Oops

This seems to be the weekend for auto accidents.

Last night Pam was taking her kids to Pocatello to a Children of the American Revolution event when a deer jumped out and bashed in the front end of the station wagon. Luckily no one was hurt (except the deer). They were outside of Burns. Emily borrowed the Dodges' station wagon and headed on to rescue them.

Then today we were coming home from the temple. We were on the off ramp from I-5 to highway 34. We were stopped there waiting for traffic to clear and a girl in a truck rammed us in the back. Her truck had no damage to it but our bumper with the tail light and trunk lid are kaput.

So while Dad is calling the insurance company, I'm blogging about it!

P.S. It turns out the damage was to the tune of $4,800. We are now driving a rental until it gets fixed.

Awe, shucks! So sorry! I'm not what you could call an exemplary driver (and where's some wood to knock on!), but to me it's scary knowing you are at the mercy of other's mistakes! Animals as well as people! But glad no one was hurt.

we're both very fortunate not to have anyone injured.
Kudos to Esther for not swerving. Kudos to Emily for dropping everything and coming to the rescue- she left a message on my answering machine Thursday night not to worry, she had it covered.
Kudos to the Dodges for use of their van and treating our problem as if it were theirs.
Kudos to mom and dad for loaning a car so Pam and my kids make it home.
Kudos to my home teacher for use of his truck- his attitude of "it's there to be used, make good use of it" is consistent with the law of consecration.
