Sweet Ann Marie's Baptism Day

Aunt Sheryl, Uncle Jonathan, Jason and Curtis came over from Bend in a snowstorm the night before. Uncle Neil came up from Central Point and arrived just exactly on time!

Before the baptism Curtis kept entertained by riding the tandem and practicing going off the high dive.

The baptismal service was just great. Aunt Sheryl played for it and Uncle Jonathan led the singing. Grandma talked on baptism and the promises we make--to take upon us the name of Jesus Christ and to always remember him. Grandpa talked about the Holy Ghost, our heavenly friend and comforter. Ann Marie was baptized and confirmed by her Dad. Her uncles were the witnesses. Aunt Sheryl told about how Ann Marie was a good example of being kind even when someone was not nice to her, which is what Jesus wants us to do.

Then we had a special dinner party. Rachel had made some cute cakes about baptism. Ann Marie received a necklace and a stuffed unicorn. She will always remember her special baptism day--March 13, 2010.
